Lenovo First-Ever Gaming Phone “Legion” is All Set to Launch Next Month

All the smartphone game lovers were quite excited knowing that Lenovo is in the works of designing a gaming smartphone under its Legion branding. From that time, we’ve been with time seeing a lot of leaks and rumours regarding the gaming phone. Now, Lenovo has finally confirmed that it is going to release its first-ever gaming phone “Legion” in the next month i.e. July 2020.

Lenovo has confirmed the news via a poster that it posted regarding the gaming phone on a Chinese website named Weibo. We were expecting to get a confirmed date for the launch, but unfortunately, that hasn’t been revealed yet by the gaming phone makers.

Expected Specs of Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone

According to various reports, it is known that the gaming phone by Lenovo will have quite a unique design. A report by XDA Developers suggests that the smartphone will come with a 90W wired-fast charging technology. Also, another interesting feature is that the phone will feature an extra USB Type-C charging port on the side of the phone with a notch-less display. As per a claim by Lenovo, the Legion gaming phone will be able to charge from 0-100% in just 30 minutes.

The phone will also come with a 5,000mAh battery. And apart from that, it will feature a SIM card tray towards the bottom. Some reports claim that the upcoming gaming smartphone will not have a 3.5mm audio socket. Talking about the design, there is some sort of 3D texture on the back of the phone along with the smooth metal. The Legion gaming phone is also expected to come with a uEngine. The uEngine will help in better and smooth vibrations, “dual heat pipes partitions”, 3D-cooling tower” and much more.

Another news of interest is that the Lenovo gaming phone will not feature a punch-hole camera. Instead, there will be a pop-up camera module on the right side of the phone. Talking about the general specs, Lenovo has probably opted for an LPDDR 5 RAM along with UFS 3.0 storage protocol. Also, the device will allegedly feature an outstanding display with a 144Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. The touch sampling rate of the gaming phone will be probably 270HZ. The device will run on Android 10.

The camera specs include a 64MP rear camera and a 16MP secondary ultra-wide-angle rear camera. The front camera will be supposedly 20MP. To conclude, the price of the Lenovo gaming phone and its availability is not known yet.
